Waldport * Oregon

*** Old Waldport Bridge 1936 to 1991 ***

The old Bay Bridge was completed in 1936. A failing foundation annd rusting steel "rebar" hastened the end of its usefull life span and was replaced by today's new Alsea Bay Bridge on August 24, 1991.

Two of original pylons, spires, and some railing from the historic bridge have been incorporated into the Alsea Bay Bridge North Wayside at the end of the new bridge.
