Since 1991 Toppers Ice Cream, Candy and Gifts has been a regular stop for Yachats visitors and locals. Known by many as the place with the "best cappuccinos" in town, owner Florence Cornwall and her daughter Crystal Smith happily dispense refreshments and cheer from morning til night. a late evening patron. Service and flexibility are two of Toppers strong points! "When I bought the store in 1991 it had two ice cream cases , candy, and a few barrels of salt water taffy" Florence recalls. "But I felt the potential was here and have made significant additions each year since then. Crystal joined me 4 years ago so now it's a mother-daughter run operation. We're both ready to please and serve you with a smile!" The shop has a large and varied inventory of delightful products including Tillamook Ice Cream shakes and sundies, truffles, chocolates, a large selection of sugar free chocolates, yogurt, and sugar free frozen frappuccinos as well. They also do Seattle Black Gold coffee and espresso drinks. "This year we started doing the iced frappuccinos and smoothies drinks and I also do gift baskets that the 'giver' is proud to give and the recipient 'delighted to receive'. I don't have the room to display them here but will gladly show them if someone wants to see one. We also do balloons and balloon bouquets for all occasions and special candy orders for events are available. Also, if you have a special candy you can't find try us and if we don't have it we will special order it if it's available. People often refer to us as the 'biggest little old-fashion candy store on the coast.' That's a good description since we are rather small space wise, but have jars of candy and other goodies and Crystal makes good old-fashion shakes that are so thick you have to eat them with a spoon! " This is a great community and we have a lot of fun here. We are easy to work with and really do enjoy our customers. If you want a treat, then you owe it to yourself to stop by and enjoy.
