VIA A DOS BOOT DISK:
1. Insert boot disk into your floppy disk drive and power up your system.
2. Type "date" and change the date to
December 31, 1999 (12-31-1999).
3. Type "time" and change the time to
11:59 P.M. (23.59).
4. Power the system down.
5. Wait at least 1 minute.
6. Reboot from the floppy disk and
type "date".
7. If the year dosen't read 2000, then you have a problem.
8. Use Date and Time to reset the current date and time.
VIA YOUR BIOS SETUP:
1. Enter the BIOS setup at boot time (see your PCs docmentation).
2. Change the date to December 31, 1999
(12-31-1999).
3. Change the time to 11:59 P.M. (23:59)
4. Power the system down.
5. Wait at least 1 minute.
6. Power the system back up and reenter
the BIOS setup.
7. If the year dosen't read 2000, then you have a problem.
8. Use the BIOS setup to reset the current
date and time.
The best solution, of course, is to obtain a BIOS upgrade. From your mother board manufacture.
